Scumbag Labour - I'r Gad Alun!

A video started doing the rounds recently which shows a young and skinny Alun Davies speaking quite frankly on camera about the Labour party.

Alun used to be a member of Plaid Cymru until he switched allegiances to Labour. The video appears to be from the mid 2000s when I myself was young and skinny. Clearly we've both visited the same spare chin shop at some point over the passed decade but enough of that. I've decided to share the video because it's interesting how someone who had such anti-Labour convictions could become swayed into becoming a Labour AM.

The clip 'they' tried to ban

Firstly I'd like to point out that I'm not sure who 'they' are but everyone loves a good whodunnit. This mystery all started when EBC Radio Wales decided to run a segment on Llanelli and the upcoming general election campaign.

In the segment they speak to Rebecca Davies, the editor of the Llanelli Star who gives a brutal and honest assessment of how she sees the campaign in Llanelli. Namely that Plaid Cymru are far more active in the town centre. They are engaging more with the traders and backing their campaigns for free parking and business rates. They are getting more support from her readers and they are "pretty much dominating" social media.

#Plaid15 - Key Points from the Manifesto

Plaid Cymru have officially released their manifesto but since most people will never read a political parties manifesto then I have cropped the key points from it in the hope that people might read and share them.

The first picture here is actually from the 64th and last page of the manifesto but I'm going to lead with it. All the rest will be listed in the order they appear. I'll include full links at the bottom of the page.

If you want to share any of these on facebook then either save the images and upload or share via my page here. For twitter you can either save the pictures and upload yourself or see the links below each picture. The first image is on its own but the subsequent images are grouped in fours.

Did your MP vote against a war in Iraq (2014 edition)

It was only a matter of time before the final part of the re-imagined Gulf War trilogy was put into production. And since Scotland's independence referendum is now over with the war monger British Nationalists don't have to worry about upsetting them.

Friday 26th September was when Parliament was recalled so that MPs could play war once more. Out of Wales' 40 MPs, just five voted against. Some simply couldn't be bothered to turn up.

Even three Red Tories voted against! - Share via twitter | facebook
Of the five, three of them were from the 'Labour' Party with just two Plaid Cymru MPs turning up. The three Labourites were from a pool of just 22 MPs from 'Welsh' Labour, 'Scottish' Labour and 'UK' Labour to rebel against Blair's legacy.

The five from Wales were as follows.

Jonathan Edwards (Carmarthen East and Dinefwr / Plaid)
Hywel Williams (Arfon / Plaid)
Sian James (Swansea East / RedTories)
Paul Flynn (Newport West / RedTories)
Martin Caton (Gower / RedTories)

As soon as a complete list showing who didn't turn up and who voted for another war is published I shall update the page. The map, as is customary for the page is complete. The importance is always placed on those who could be bothered to turn up for work and do their duty for Wales.

The final vote tally read 524 votes for another war with Iraq and just 43 against. The reality is that it wouldn't have mattered if all of Wales' 40 MPs voted against it still would have been passed by a majority of 446.

Fight or flight

Wales will never be able to compete with the other countries of the world if we are not even allowed to compete with the country next door. As long as we are a colony of England and as long as we keep electing politicians that refuse to fight for Wales we will never be anything more than the runt of the litter.

Obvious examples I've posted about recently are water, energy and even our mail service which are geared towards providing jobs in England. But another one that landed at the tail end of last year was the prospect of devolving air passenger duty.

Devolving APD would be beneficial to Wales, especially now that Cardiff Airport is a nationalised asset. Since everyone in Wales effectively co-owns this asset it's in our best interest for it to be an economic success. In the six counties, devolving APD is seen as a good thing by our London masters as it's a way of poaching customers from their neighbour and former British colony, The Republic of Ireland.

The 37 Traitors

In 1956 a Private Bill was brought to Parliament by the Liverpool City Council, they wanted to drown Welsh villages in order to steal more Welsh water. At the time Wales had 37 MPs, all but one voted against it. The sole traitor who didn't vote against it abstained.

In 2014 we have 40 MPs and instead of one traitor we have 37. These are the 37 cowards who would rather a pat on the back from their London masters than bring water under the full ownership of Wales instead of this sham ownership we currently have. I have mentioned this before, just as I have mentioned the traitors who would rather Wales didn't control its energy or The Crown Estate.

In order to simplify it, rather than a big list of all the scumbags who have once again sold us down the river I've just coloured in a map to show you.

Energy Scroungers

After looking at how Peter Hain was well and truly on the gravy train when it came to the energy expenses I decided to look into the rest of the MPs in order to try and find some sort of perspective. Is Peter right when he says that without being able to make claims we'd be left with "only very rich MPs" or is he simply digging himself an even deeper hole.

So I went back to the Sunday Mirror article and began to compile a list of every MP, their constituency, their party, their claim amount and what the claim was for. Once you have a full table of results you can then sort them into highest to lowest, organise them by party and create sexy graphs.
You wont find this on the BBC! Share via twitter | facebook

Post Cymru

Shortly after the UK Government announced the privatisation of the Royal Mail the Scottish Government promised that after a yes vote they will renationalise the postal service in Scotland. The silence in Wales was broken this week with Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood asking for the postal service in Wales to be handed over to the Welsh Government in much the same way as the postal service was handed over to the Manx and the Channel Islanders. The fact that this is even happening should go to show people how much we in Wales are at the mercy of the Government that the people of England choose.

Puppet State

As most people are probably aware there is a by-election taking place on Ynys Môn as a result of Ieuan Wyn Jones stepping down as AM for the island. I saw people on twitter suggesting that Labour were going to throw £100,000 in order to try and buy win the election and thus take a majority in the Senedd. So in the interest of fairness I decided to ask the Labour candidate himself.

Seigniorage

At first glance it may sound like a really mad Spaniard. But seigniorage is the difference between the cost of making money and the value of the money. And it's something that came to mind when I heard Plaid Cymru proposing the introduction of a Welsh Bank.

Anyone for cola?

It's 'party' time again. So I've produced this handy guide to choosing your 'soft drinks'. We'll start with the most popular, Labour Coca-cola.

Colonialism 2.0

Colonialism now extends beyond the real world into the virtual world
You may have heard of the campaign for Wales to have it's own top level domains. An obvious example is a .com or .org. Unlike Jersey (.je), Guernsey (.gg) or the Isle of Man (.im) Wales does not have a TLD of it's own. This campaign has been handed to Nominet by the Welsh Government. That's very sporting of Nominet you might think, but just who are this Nominet.
