Scraping the Barrel - Jo Stevens

Jeremy Corbyn would probably be the first to admit that he didn't have a lot of choice when it came to appointing a new Shadow Secretary of State for Wales, what with all the 'moderate' knives in his 'lefty' back. But his choice of Cardiff Central's Jo Stevens is really scraping the barrel.

We know Jeremy Corbyn couldn't give a toss about Wales, his voting record proves this. But what about Jo? Off I went to They Work For You to see what her records are like on the subject of Wales.

And do you know what it says? In bold type at the top of the page it says "Jo Stevens has never voted on transferring more powers to the Welsh Assembly".

Jo was elected in May 2015 so is one of the fresh batch of Labour MPs. There have been five votes to devolve more powers to Wales since then and Jo has been absent from every single one. To be honest, I'm not at all shocked and would have been genuinely surprised if she had attended any of them.

In case you haven't any sick in your mouth, here's her and her Tory buddy Alun Cairns enjoying some 'banter' between mates on twitter.

I'm now off to pour bleach into my eyes and chew on one of my socks from the wash basket. I do not recommend anyone else trying this at home but it's the only thing I can think of to get the bad taste out of my mouth and to help me unsee the absolute shower of scumbaggery I have just seen.

  1. Labour, Conservative, Ukip, Lib Dem, they're all merging into one, multi-faceted English nationalist party.
