Ffolsom Prison Blues

I hear the prison fawr comin' it's comin' round the bend
We're the oldest colony since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Ffolsom Prison and time keeps draggin' on
But Anglicisations a rollin' on down to Tyddewi

When I was just a babi my mam told me bach
Always be a bach iawn don't ever play with guns
But I shot a man in Rhymney just to watch him die
When I hear that super prison comin' I hang my head and I cry
[ guitar ]
I bet there's Sais paedo eatin' in a fancy prison cell
They're prob'ly drinkin' coffi and smokin' big cigars
Well I know I had it comin' I know I can't be free
But those Sais outnumber us and that's what tortures me
[ guitar ]
Well if they freed me from this prison if that Gogledd town was mine
I bet I'd settle down a little farther down the line
Not far from Ffolsom Prison that's where I want to stay
But then those Sais paedos might want to settle there aswell.

Wales is already becoming a penal colony for the English and that is before the opening of a 'super prison' that will be used mainly to house prisoners from outside Wales. By all means build a prison in north Wales but history shows us that being used as a penal colony does not bode well for the indigenous population.

Nevermind Cymru, let's just walk the line
