Today marks the running of the first ever
@WelshnotBritish alternative Grand National. I advertised the sweep via twitter and all 40 entries have now been filled.
Hopefully none of the entries will win, because in this version of the Grand National. In order to win you must have the horse that is the first to die. Results will be ratified with the horse death watch website and winners will be announced on here and twitter

So bad luck to everyone who takes part, I hope none of you win, not even me. After all they have made the course
even safer. And who knows, maybe we'll do the same again next year.
Edit - Amazingly, the very year the alternative sweep is launched ALL horses make it back safely. No horses have been destroyed and therefore there are no "winners". Also, no rubbish prize needs to be thought up and awarded.
