Parachutes and donkeys - Neath

Congratulations to Christina Rees on becoming the next MP for Neath. As most of us should now be aware the trough diving Peter Hain has decided to hand the parachute he used when he was given the ultra safe seat of Neath to a Bridgend Red Tory. I think we can all agree that at least Bridgend is much closer than Kenya.

Some might think it's a little premature to be congratulating Christina but if you look at the history of the donkey vote in Neath you'll realise it's entirely justified.

All in all it's just another donkey in Wales. Share via twitter | facebook
Labour first won the job for life back in 1922 with Willy Jenkins and at the by-election after he died in 1944 he was replaced by D J Williams. No, not the D J Williams that burned the bombing school. This D J Williams was a full on BritNat and wanted more colonialism not less of it.

Next up in 1965 was Donald Coleman who, unlike DJ, also saw it as a job for life and after 27 years he passed on which made way for regular reader Peter Hain. Peter Hain has been lining his pockets as Neath MP since 1991. In 2011 Hain suffered the worst winning percentage of any of the Red Tories who have held Neath since 1922. Mind you it still proved a huge 46.3% of Neath liked donkeys.

So now we move on to Christina. And let's be fair, she could sit on her arse until next May and still win, assuming of course the thorny issue of the all female shortlist doesn't come back to bite them on it.
